The Event
For Spectators
Welcome to Operation Golden Sword. You're here to witness legends being made.
What to Expect
This Is Live
Unscripted Adventure
What you're about to witness is a live tabletop roleplaying game. Nothing is scripted. The dice are real, the decisions are made in the moment, and the outcomes are genuinely uncertain.
Players will debate tactics, stumble over rules, make questionable choices, and occasionally roll terribly at the worst possible moment. That's not a bug—it's the magic of tabletop gaming.
Some moments will be triumphant. Others will be chaotic. All of them will be real.
The Golden Rule
Watch, Don't Play
You're here to witness legends being made, not to coach them.
✓ Absolutely Fine
- • Talking quietly with other spectators
- • Asking questions about what's happening (to spectators, not players mid-turn)
- • Laughing, gasping, cheering, or groaning at dramatic moments
- • Enjoying the chaos
✗ Please Avoid
- • Suggesting strategy or tactics to players
- • Explaining or correcting rules
- • Pointing out things players missed
- • Commenting on what players "should" do
The exception: If a DM specifically asks for your input or invites you to help with something, you're welcome to engage. Otherwise, let the players own their adventure—victories, mistakes, and all.
Four Theaters
Moving Between Tables
Freedom to Roam
Operation Golden Sword features four simultaneous theaters of war. You're welcome to move between tables to catch different parts of the action. Each table tells its own story, and together they form the complete battle.
Don't Hover
Find a spot to watch or move on. Standing directly behind players can be distracting.
Don't Interrupt
Slip in and out quietly. Wait for natural breaks if you want to ask someone a question.
Don't Share Intel
What happens at one table stays at that table. No carrying information between theaters.
